Honestly, tonight, after a busy day at work, I don't want to cook, let alone spend hours in the kitchen. No question of bothering me with a complicated meal:here are 3 tricks to avoid bothering you! What if ease and gastronomy were compatible?
Let's see what I have left in my fridge:eggs, chorizo, grated cheese and tomatoes? Bingo! Tonight is omelet for everyone.
Quick and clever, in no time at all, I serve my tribe a complete and balanced dish. I add a few lettuce leaves and you're done.
Once is not custom, and if tonight we nibble in front of the TV? I grab a tray, put on it some sandwich bread, slices of white and raw ham (there's always some ham in my fridge!), butter, the jar of pickles and Gruyère cheese sliced into thin strips.
We cut our slices of sandwich bread in half to form two beautiful triangles, garnish our mini sandwiches as we please and peck with our fingertips.
I prepare for each a bowl of cucumber cut into small cubes, pour a drizzle of olive oil and balsamic vinegar on it, a pinch of salt and push mini wooden skewers into a few dice. We are now ready for a simple tasting!
What a great idea to freeze my leftover shepherd's pie. Tonight, the microwave will work for me:I put my frozen hash in it. As soon as it is hot enough, I arrange the slices on my plates and place a sprig of fresh parsley on top of each for decoration.
No question of feeling guilty by opting for simplicity, I promise, tomorrow, I will simmer you one of my favorite little dishes! And if you have any other tips for my lazy evenings, don't hesitate to leave them in the comments.
