Kefir resembles yogurt, but it is not. The white superfood granules consist of bacteria and yeasts. With the grains you can easily make kefir yourself. Kefir is very healthy. For example, you can use it at breakfast, as a dessert or in a smoothie.

Do it yourself
You can buy ready-made kefir products, but also make your own. You can buy kefir grains at the health food store or via the internet. Add milk to the grains. You let the grains with the milk ferment for a day in a preserving jar; then your 'yogurt drink' is ready. You scoop or sieve part of the grains (with a plastic sieve, metal affects the grains) to make new kefir with it.
Did you know… You can also use kefir as a substitute for sour cream or mayonnaise.
