4. Bairro Alto
Bairro Alto doesn't sound exactly Dutch. Yet the name (literally:upper city, in Portuguese) is appropriate, because this small cozy coffee and lunch bar (see photo at the top of this article) is located higher up in the old part of the city, just behind the busy Grote Markt. . Are you coming in the summer? Order at the bar and enjoy your order on the opposite field. You will then be given a picnic blanket and a number. As soon as your order is ready, your number will appear on the number counter.

5. Hop &Stork
If you have climbed the 465 steps of the highest church tower in the Netherlands, you have earned a coffee. 7 . Coffee house
Most people know the Koffiehuisje from the time it was located in the Ketelhuis on Strijp-S, the former Philips industrial estate. In the summer of 2017, Loes Hermes found new accommodation for her coffee bar in the middle of Philipsdorp, between the center and Strijp-S. Just like at the 'old' location, you can go to the Koffiehuisje for a good cup of coffee, fresh juice and carrot cake.
