Sometimes it's quite appealing to eat that leftover pizza slice from yesterday for breakfast. The Daily Meal asked a dietitian if it was a good idea.
The answer may surprise you. A slice of pizza and the average bowl of cereal can easily contain the same amount of calories. A pizza even contains more protein and that keeps you full for longer. Furthermore, a pizza contains more fat and less sugar, which is also positive, so you don't get a sugar dip.

The dietitian makes it clear that pizza is not necessarily the most nutritious option. She would never opt for pizza – or cereal – for breakfast. But maybe, just maybe, you're not as unhealthy as you thought.
