3 Vegetable Pizza Doughs for Healthier Recipes

For a meal with friends, after a drunken evening or simply on Sundays in pajamas, pizza is the classic that seduces many of us! So, to stop feeling guilty for having (still) cracked up, we found 3 pizza doughs made from mashed vegetables. Less calories, rich in vitamins and trace elements, gluten-free, it is also the ideal opportunity for parents to make children eat vegetables (easily).

1/ Cauliflower pastry

Cauliflower is a good alternative to bread dough for making pizza! It is rich in fiber minerals, vitamins C and B but also in trace elements such as zinc or copper. It is also easy to prepare:mix it, wring it out with a cloth and season it (salt, pepper, spices, etc.). All that remains is to roll out the dough and off you go, in the oven! For a more melting texture, you can add an egg or natural yogurt to the preparation. For the garnish, choose a tomato sauce and let your creativity guide you. What do we like? The recipe is suitable for people who are gluten intolerant.

2/ Pumpkin dough

In this Halloween period, it is impossible to miss the pumpkin... Good for the skin and for the immune system (it is no coincidence that it is generally consumed at the approach of winter), it is also rich in potassium. Already used in soup, gratin or lasagna, it is now found in pizza dough. Ingredients ? About 250 g of pumpkin purée, 1 sachet of yeast, 300 g of flour, a spoon of olive oil and a pinch of salt. For a gluten-free alternative, replace the classic flour with buckwheat flour, chestnut flour or even cornstarch.

3/ Red beet paste

Beetroot is the ideal vegetable to give a little sweet taste and a super original dark pink color to your pizza dough! In addition to impressing children, it provides a lot of fiber, carbohydrates, vitamin A but also trace elements. For the recipe, we follow that of the pumpkin paste, simply replacing the pumpkin puree with the beetroot puree. What if you're not a beet fan? Do not panic, these recipes can be adapted with other vegetables such as carrots or broccoli.

Pizza aficionados will finally be able to enjoy themselves… without feeling guilty!
