HEMA smoked sausage now also available as a vegetarian variant

You may have already spotted it:the vegetarian HEMA smoked sausage, OokWorst. Have you tried it yet?

After the vegetarian hot dog and the vegetarian sausage roll, the well-known smoked sausage is now also available as a vegetarian variant. Also Sausage is made on the basis of vegetable oils, pea fiber and free-range proteins.

Difficult process

According to HEMA, it was quite difficult to make a worthy meatless variant of the smoked sausage. The development took more than a year.

The Ookworst is now available in all Dutch stores.
