We're not going to hide it, for us junk food lovers, it's a pleasure (which we regret afterwards) to go to McDonald's and have a choice for the menus. But for vegetarians, who don't eat meat or fish, it's a nightmare. While they see us salivating over a greasy burger, they have to make do with the few options offered by the fast-food chain in France. Either a small salad and/or a goat cheese wrap.
Luckily, those days are over (well for a short time), as McDonald's has just launched its new breaded cheese recipe. Available through March, this new sandwich is part of the limited "American Winter" edition. The meat is therefore replaced by breaded and melting cheese in the burgers (also in the wrap version). All served with two slices of tomatoes and salad “for freshness”.
However, do not believe that this new burger is less caloric. Indeed, it is much more so than the big mac for example, with 508 Kcal against 601 for the vegetarian sandwich. But hey, in general, we all know that we don't go to McDonald's to diet so why not be tempted by junk food without meat?
We hope that if this new sandwich is successful, they will choose to leave it à la carte.
