A while ago I wrote that I was going to send invitations for a family barbecue in the context of making memories. We have now had the Barbecue Boer at home and I would like to tell you how it went.

I think it's an ideal concept, such a BBQ Farmer at your door. They deliver everything on an agreed day and time, and they also pick up everything the next day. Including the dirty dishes and the dirty barbecue.
Look, these kinds of concepts make me happy. I like to spoil people around me. But then I don't necessarily have to stand in the kitchen all day long. Or clean up all the dirty dishes the night after, blegh, that puts a damper on a cozy get-together! de Barbecue Boer has found a solution with the above concept.
Like I said, I really wanted to be together with my whole family again. To catch up after the past tough months. When the Barbecue Farmer approached me with the question whether I would like to try their concept out, I didn't have to think long. Of course!
Since I come from a family of four children, we are all married and have children, it took quite a bit of meat to send everyone home with a full belly. Now my father eats very little so I didn't have to take that into account, but it was so nice to have him there. Enjoy while you still can!
Afterwards it turned out that you can leave that to the Barbecue Boer. What amount of food was delivered. And how beautiful, fresh and good it all looked. During delivery, we also briefly discuss what is included and how the barbecue works.
It is a fully catered barbecue that they deliver. Includes barbecue, gas bottle, meat, baguette, sauces, salads, plates, cutlery, serving spoons and barbecue utensils. You can only provide the drinks yourself. Oh yes, and the man who bakes the meat, unless you prefer to do it yourself 😉 . In my case… I really think barbecuing is a man's thing, so he got to work. Does it look good on him?

As you can see above, there is quite a bit of variety, so there is something for everyone. Since we have a number of non-fish eaters in our family, I went for the Luxury BBQ package. And luxury it is! You can see in the photo what is supplied in such a Luxury package and how beautiful it looks. ps… the baguette (also different variants) is not in the photo, but that is also included, along with satay sauce.
Haha, well you get the idea… I didn't actually have to ask that. There was plenty to eat, but I still had a few things left afterwards. So keep that in mind when you order. Order a little less, or save the rest until the next day and barbecue again, but then on your own barbecue!
Another nice part of the service is collecting the dirty barbecue and dirty dishes. You just put everything (dirty) back in the crates and put it outside the door together with the barbecue. You don't have to stay home when they come to pick it up, they just take it with them. Ideal right?!
The only thing missing with an order at the Barbecue Boer is dessert 😉 . Arrange some ice cream yourself, or make this delicious chocolate mug cake, for example.
