Tired of eternal chocolate wrappers at Christmas? We have the solution! And if we bet on a gourmet and original gift at the same time:chocolate faces. Candy Mechanics, a London start-up created in 2015, had the idea of recreating faces with chocolate, in order to make lollipops. For this, the entrepreneurs have surrounded themselves with William Leigh, deputy taste manager of the Green and Black's Organic chocolate brand, as well as Chris Tait, engineer.
The principle is simple:all you have to do is film your face with your mobile phone, then upload the video to the start-up's website. The face is scanned, then modeled on a computer. A piece of chocolate is then carved with the image of the face in question. In addition to having created a one-of-a-kind concept, the start-up fights against waste:excess chocolate shavings are thus reused for another creation.
The face-shaped lollipops will be available from December on the Candy Mechanics website and will be sold for around 23 euros for three. In the meantime, we can let ourselves be tempted by the first creation of the start-up:the Candy Cards, delicious personalized chocolate cards, which will allow us to wish a "Merry Christmas" to our loved ones in all originality.
