The French cognac brand Hennessy has launched a 2016 limited edition 20cl flask:the Hennessy Very Special Chilled. As the name suggests, this special packaging has been specially developed to be served chilled. Thanks to an innovative technique, both the label on the bottle and the accompanying silicone sleeve react to the ambient temperature – so that the drinker knows exactly when the cognac has been perfectly cooled. When you put the bottle in a fridge or freezer, the well-known 'pampres' (vine leaves) on the label turn dark blue and the text 'Drink Me Chilled' lights up in bright blue. The flask also comes with a cold-sensitive silicone sleeve, which takes on different shades of blue depending on the temperature.
Hennessy Very Special Chilled is the ideal base for a delicious cooling cocktail. For example, try 'The Ice Breaker'!
Ingredients:
1.5 part Hennessy Very Special
0.5 part lime juice
0.5 part Blue Curaçao
A splash of orange blossom water (optional)
A splash of sugar syrup
Preparation method:
Pour all ingredients into a shaker with ice and shake vigorously until cool. Strain the cocktail through a fine sieve into a classic cocktail glass. Garnish with whipped cream if desired.
