Melon and prosecco are two things we like to eat and drink in the summer. Why not combine these by making a tasty granita? We share the recipe for a delicious melon &prosecco granita here.
Preparation time:20 minutes + freezing time
600g melon (can be any type)
350ml good quality Prosecco
150g sugar
2 teaspoons lemon juice
This is what you will do:
- Mix the melon and put it in a large bowl. Add the Prosecco, sugar and lemon juice. Mix with a wooden spoon until the sugar has dissolved.
- Put the mixture in a shallow freezer-safe container and cover with cling film. Place in the freezer for 1-2 hours, then use a fork to turn the frozen mix into small ice crystals.
- Put the container in the freezer for another hour and repeat 3-4 times until you have well separated ice crystals.
- Serve in 4-6 Prosecco flutes.
