With my parmesan gnocchi recipe, eating well without breaking the bank is possible!
This gnocchi recipe requires very few ingredients. And it is very likely that they are already in your kitchen...
Contents
- 500 g potatoes (Amandine or Bintje type)
- 150 g of flour
- 80 g of parmesan
- 1 egg
- Salt and pepper
Preparation: 30 mins – Cooking: 15 mins
1. I peel the potatoes and cook them for 10 minutes in a pot of boiling water.
2. Once cooked, I drain them and mash them with a fork.
3. I add the egg yolk and the grated parmesan to the mash. I salt and pepper.
4. I add the flour little by little so as to obtain a non-sticky ball.
5. I flour my work surface and shape the dough into a long, fairly thin sausage.
6. I cut pieces of dough every 1.5 cm or so and round them in the palms of my hands.
7. Using a fork, I decorate them with small stripes.
8. In a saucepan, I boil water and immerse my gnocchi in it for 2 to 3 minutes. As soon as they come to the surface, it's ready!
There you go, my homemade gnocchi are ready to be tasted :-)
Once drained, I serve my gnocchi hot with a knob of butter.
Do not prepare your gnocchi too far in advance:they may become soft and sticky before the cooking phase. And if you don't plan to eat them all, you can cook them and store them in the fridge in an airtight container for 48 hours or freeze them.
