And as of today, the burgers from Beyond Meat are also for sale in the Netherlands!
Beyond Meat is a worldwide phenomenon when it comes to vegetable meat products. But as of today, the American brand is finally introducing their burger in the Dutch supermarket. We were allowed to taste the burger last Friday. And to be fair, if we hadn't known that the burger was vegetarian, we wouldn't have tasted it either.A Beyond Burger contains more protein than a traditional hamburger, less fat, no GMOs, soy or gluten. The production of a Beyond Burger requires 99% less water, 93% less land and almost half the energy required by a traditional burger. Also 90% less CO2 is emitted during production.
Beyond Meat was founded in 2009 with the mission to develop plant-based meat. By switching from animal to plant-based meat, Beyond Meat is creating a sustainable solution to four increasing problems attributed to livestock farming:harm to health, climate change, natural resources and animal welfare.
