Delicious and super simple:conjure up ice cream yourself. You really only need three ingredients:a splash of water, a banana and strawberries. Yum!
There's nothing wrong with a walk to the local ice cream parlor for two scoops of summery flavors. But just as much fun and a great activity to do with children or visitors on a summer day is of course making ice cream yourself. Fruit ice creams, that is.
1 banana
170 grams of strawberries
splash of tap water
blender, 5 ice pop molds, 5 popsicle sticks
Cut the banana and strawberries into small pieces. Place the strawberry pieces in the blender and blend until smooth. Then pour it into a measuring cup or bowl. Repeat this with the banana, but add a dash of water to make it a bit smoother. Now fill 3 of the ice cream molds with the blended strawberry. And 2 of the molds with banana. Place all molds – with a popsicle stick in them – in the freezer. Not too long:just under half an hour. After that time, take the molds out of the freezer and pour some of the strawberry into the molds with banana. And vice versa. A beautiful play of colors! Then place all molds in the freezer for another 8 hours.
