Since April 8, Tommy's Diner, the restaurant chain with a "USA 50s" atmosphere, has been honoring a new Burger imagined by Toulouse chef Michel Sarran, juror of the 6th season of the Top Chef show. His particuliarity ? It showcases Wagyu, a meat of Japanese origin that includes several breeds including the famous Kobe beef.
"Patrick Soula (former rugby player and founder of Tommy's Diner) asked me to create a burger around an exceptional product, the Wagyu. To meet this challenge, I imagined an American burger with flavors from elsewhere using products from Asia, such as daikon (Japanese turnip), wasabi or ginger. “, explains Michel Sarran. There is also mimolette, salad, shiso leaves, tofu and onion sprouts, all in a "flour" bread. We're salivating...
With this starred burger, Tommy's Diner intends once again to offer the possibility of discovering a quality product:"We already offered Charolais and Black Angus ground beef in our restaurants. So when I discovered Wagyu, I immediately wanted to offer it to our customers,” enthuses Patrick Soula.
The price of the burger? €18.90. Like what, "quality burger, can rhyme with affordable price", concludes Patrick Soula.
