If you are told churros, what do you think of? “Doughnut, frills, churros! as the salesman on the beach of your childhood shouted? This should change our slightly redneck vision of the summer donut:Dominique Ansel has indeed launched The Loop, a store based in California where he presents churros that have nothing to envy to traditional pastries. This is not the first time that the creations of the French pastry chef have achieved worldwide notoriety:in December 2016, we told you about his blooming hot chocolate which had invaded Instagram.
The churros of The Loop are immersed in oil after being rounded by hand (loop in English meaning loop). Once fried, they are drizzled with cinnamon sugar then covered with a glaze (chocolate, strawberry, white chocolate or matcha green tea) and a topping:vermicelli, hazelnuts, speculoos, Oreo pieces, fruit crunch … Finally, they can be offered in an ice cream (itself with its icing and its topping, not light light all that!). Clearly, there are an infinity of possible combinations, each more greedy than the other. Only downside:The Loop is a unique address, located in Westminster, California.
