The fourth variety of chocolate (discovered in 2017), Ruby, is the first new chocolate in 80 years, after white chocolate, dark chocolate and milk chocolate. Made with the recently discovered Ruby cocoa bean, Ruby cocoa has a unique berry fruitiness, luscious softness and a unique pink color.
The Ruby cocoa bean is a unique cocoa bean due to the fresh berry fruitiness and color precursors naturally present in the bean. The cocoa beans come from different parts of the world and have a specific set of characteristics that are unique to Ruby. Ruby cocoa beans grow in countries known for cocoa:Ecuador, Brazil and Ivory Coast.
Magnum Ruby Minis will be available this month in the United States. It is not yet known whether the ice cream will also come here.
