Plunge the prawns into a pan of boiling water, cook for 2 minutes then drain. Remove the heads and shell the tails
Boil and peel the tomatoes. Cut them in half, deseed them then cut the pulp into small cubes.
Peel and chop the onions.
Peel the ginger and cut it into strips and then into sticks.
Heat the oil in a sauté pan, sauté the onions for 3 minutes without colouring, add the ginger, turmeric, tomato pulp and peppers. Cook for 10 minutes over medium heat
Remove from the heat and serve warm or lukewarm.
