The little extra of this ice cream recipe in a Ziploc bag?
Your kids can have fun at the same time as they have to run around and shake the bag to get it ready! Watch:
Contents
- 125 ml whipping cream (30% M.F.) or light liquid cream (15% M.F.)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 teaspoons of powdered sugar
- ice cubes
- 6 tablespoons coarse salt
- 2 small 1 liter freezer bags with zip closure
- 2 large 3-litre freezer bags with zip closure
1. Put the cream, vanilla extract and sugar in the small freezer bag.
2. Mix the ingredients with a spoon.
3. Close the bag, taking care to press down firmly to squeeze out all the air.
4. Put this bag in a second small bag, and seal it tightly.
5. Now fill the big bag halfway with the ice cubes.
6. Add the coarse salt.
7. Put the small bag inside the big bag, right in the middle of the ice cubes.
8. Close the big bag.
9. Also double the big bag especially if your little ones help you shake them.
10. Shake the bag well for 5-10 min.
There you go, your delicious ice cream is already ready :-)
Easy, fast and excellent, right?
What's great is that you can't miss it! It works every time!
But above all, this recipe is magical for children, because you have to shake the ice cream before you can taste it.
Try making a game out of it with your kids. For example, we like to take the bag and play tag.
And sometimes we throw the bag at each other like a ball, to see who can shake it the hardest.
Because kids tend to shake the bag less vigorously, I always give it a few extra shakes when it's my turn to hold it.
If I make this recipe with the kids, it takes about 10 minutes until the vanilla ice cream is ready.
And if I make it on my own, it's ready to eat in just 5 minutes.
Once the ice cream is ready, we sit on the lawn and share it with a teaspoon. Yum!
Most often I eat the ice cream straight from the bag with the kids.
And if I manage to wait (it's hard!), I prepare small bowls of ice cream that I distribute to everyone.
If you have guests, just double the quantities. But of course, the more cream you put on, the longer you have to shake the bag.
Last thing, powdered sugar works very well for this recipe. But I advise you to use vergeoise for an even better taste.
