Not sure if your eggs are still good or not?
Don't put them in the trash right away, it would be a waste!
There is a grandmother's trick to check if they are still fresh.
No need to break them to know if the eggs are expired. The trick is to put them in water and see if they float or not.
1. Take a large transparent container to see through.
2. Fill the container with cold water.
3. Place the egg in it.
- If it sinks to the bottom flat, it is still fresh. You can therefore consume it without danger.
- If he gets up slightly, he is 1 week old. You can eat it quietly.
- If only the tip touches the bottom, it is 2 to 3 weeks old. It is still good, but it must be eaten during the day and not boiled eggs. Cook it well.
- If the egg floats to the surface, it is no longer edible. Throw it away.
There you go, you now know whether an egg is edible or not :-)
Know that you can keep the eggs 1 month from the date of laying indicated on the eggshell.
If you find that an egg has a cracked shell in the box, don't eat it.
Avoid washing the eggs before putting them in the fridge. Only wash them if you intend to cook them right away.
