Are you dreaming of a homemade light vinaigrette?
Our trick for enjoying a good salad without weighing it down with a sauce is very simple.
Just replace some of the oil in your salad dressing with water.
You will get a light vinaigrette.
It is a light and economical recipe, which is very easy to make.
The beautiful light salads are yours!
- 1 teaspoon of mustard
- 1 tablespoon of vinegar (of wine rather than balsamic which is sweet)
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil
- 1 tablespoon of water
- Salt and pepper
1. In a bowl, mix the vinegar and salt.
2. Add the mustard, water and oil, whisking with a fork.
3. Pepper.
There you go, your light house dressing is ready :-)
Now you know how to make a light vinaigrette.
It's simple and delicious.
And in addition, the water creates an emulsion that makes the sauce lighter.
You can also add some finely chopped shallots. It's a great idea to spice up the sauce.
This vinaigrette recipe is perfect for dressing a green salad (lettuce...) or a potato salad.
You can use linseed oil or olive oil.
We all have these basic ingredients at home, enough to save money on the purchase of store-bought dressings.
You see ! No need to go to Leclerc to buy a light vinaigrette!
This homemade dressing is not fat-free, nor zero calories. But it is definitely lighter.
It is ideal as part of a diet (including Cohen).
This salad dressing is not greasy at all and it is yogurt-free!
If you want to make a dressing without oil, replace the oil (and water) with yogurt.

The only difference between a light product and its classic little brother is... the addition of water! Yes, yes, I assure you!
