Fruit salad is good, healthy and cheap and the homemade is even better. So here is the recipe to compose your ultra-refreshing seasonal fruit salad.
For a homemade recipe to share with 4, you will need the following ingredients:
--> 1 melon
--> 3 apricots
--> 3 plums
--> 10 cherries
--> 10 strawberries
--> 10 blackberries
--> 10 raspberries
--> 10 blackcurrant seeds
Preparing this seasonal fruit salad is quick and easy:
I peel the melon, pit the plums and apricots and cut them into cubes in a large salad bowl. I also pit the cherries and cut them in half, like the strawberries. As for the blackberries, raspberries and blackcurrant, I add them as is without cutting them.
A fruit salad coated in juice is even more thirst-quenching. The trick to getting as much syrup as possible is to squeeze a lime above the salad bowl, so the fruit will release plenty of juice. The lemon will also prevent some of your fruit from turning black.
I also like to add some chopped mint in my fruit salad. It doesn't cost much, it brightens up the dish and above all, it adds even more freshness.
My recipe is already almost finished. The fruits used are generally very sweet, so I don't add anything. But if you want something sweet and light, you can replace the heavy sugar with red fruit jam. You will get a creamy sauce and in addition if you have children, they will love it!
That's it, all you have to do is cover your bowl with cellophane and put the salad in the fridge for 2 hours to be able to enjoy a very fresh dessert on the terrace, with a few small biscuits why not;)?
Instead of serving ready-made cakes and pies at 10€ , to make a splash, opt instead for a small fruit salad from time to time. It's super nice and what's more, it's a cheap dessert if we make the comparison.
Especially if you prepare it with seasonal fruits , in this case, the recipes are endless since each month has its fruit. Impossible to end up with a bland and boring salad.
