Recipe for jackfruit tortilla with lime and cashew spread

Did you know that there is a fruit that can be used as a meat substitute? If you've never cooked with the jackfruit, it's definitely worth a try.

Ingredients jackfruit tortilla

For 4 people

Lime and cashew spread

  • 150 g raw cashew nuts
  • 50 ml of water
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp Santa Maria Hot Pepper Sauce
  • 1 lime, the juice

Jackfruit

  • 1 can of unsweetened jackfruit
  • 1 bag of Santa Maria Taco Seasoning Mix
  • 1 tbsp rapeseed oil
  • ½ orange, the juice

Extra

  • 1 mango
  • 3 tbsp chopped coriander
  • 1 package Santa Maria Tortilla Original Small
    Hot pepper sauce

Getting started

Put the cashews in water and let them soak at room temperature for one hour. Blend the nuts in a food processor and season with salt, Hot Pepper Sauce and lime juice. Tear the jackfruit into pieces and fry in oil. Season with Taco Seasoning Mix and orange juice. Cut the mango into cubes and finely chop the coriander. Warm the tortillas in a casserole or baking tray. Add the jackfruit, mango and coriander. Garnish with the lime and cashew sauce and enjoy!
