I do like sweet potato, but I don't really like the standard sweet potato fries, for example. So I was a bit skeptical when trying sweet potato in the slow cooker. But the man wanted sweet potato once in a while and I love trying slow cooker recipes, so voila… that's the basis of this experiment. By the way, a very tasty test, this sweet potato from the slow cooker and definitely worth repeating!
The sweet potato is prepared very quickly, so an excellent dish to use if you do not have much time to prepare dinner and also do not feel like regular potatoes, vegetables, meat. Then make sweet potatoes, vegetables and meat 😉 . And also delicious:sweet potato soup from the slow cooker!
By the way, this recipe is for a family of 4 people, the sweet potato is then a dish that you eat with it.
The juice with the above ingredients gives this sweet potato a delicious taste, not too intense, but a bit sweet. Very tasty.
Tip:Use a good knife to cut the sweet potato. Sweet potato is quite hard raw and if your knife isn't sharp enough, it's hard to cut through!
The more orange the sweet potato is, the softer it is. You won't see the color until you've peeled them, though, so it's not much use, but I noticed. The sweet potato that is not as orange is generally harder and therefore more difficult to cut. In any case, keep that in mind.
I myself use this knife set from the WMF Grand Gourmet collection, wonderfully sharp, stainless steel and with a very nice handle. Excellent for dicing this sweet potato for the slow cooker!
