Not long ago I prepared my first pork tenderloin in the slow cooker. And that tasted like more! Hence an Oriental pork tenderloin recipe from the slow cooker this time.
To be honest, I never thought it would be so delicious to prepare the pork tenderloin this way. But it can be done just fine and it's easy too. Of course you can also prepare this Oriental pork tenderloin in the pan if you wish, you will find the preparation method at the bottom of this blog.

From the slow cooker:Oriental pork tenderloin
I'm going for a pork tenderloin dish for a family of 4 people. Two adults and two children. For this you need the following ingredients.
Ingredients for pork tenderloin the Eastern way:
2 pork tenderloins
3 tablespoons soy sauce
teaspoon of ginger powder
teaspoon galangal
2 tablespoons of honey
4 red onions
4 garlic cloves
1 tablespoons sesame seeds
possibly some sesame oil (not necessary)
a dash of vinegar or lemon juice for more tender meat
salt and pepper to taste
Of course, preparing the oriental pork tenderloin (like most slow cooker recipes) is a breeze again.
Preparation oriental pork tenderloin in the slow cooker
I first start by cutting the pork tenderloin and then I make the oriental marinade.
Cut pork tenderloin into large pieces
Shortly fry the pork tenderloin in the pan (I do it for the color and to keep the meat together, but it's not necessary)
Cut the red onions into quarters
Make an oriental marinade:mix the soy sauce, honey, sesame seeds, ginger, galangal and any sesame oil and vinegar with the crushed garlic cloves for the sauce
Put the red onions in the slow cooker and place the pork tenderloin on top
Add the oriental marinade
Add salt and pepper to taste
The slow cooker on low for 3-4 hours and your oriental pork tenderloin is ready

If you don't have a slow cooker, you can of course also make this recipe in the pan. Also tasty! The best way to do that is as follows.
Make the oriental marinade for the pork tenderloin as above
Cut the pork tenderloin into pieces, or marinate the pork tenderloin in its entirety for about an hour
Fry the pork tenderloin on high heat for 1 minute
Reduce the heat and add the onions to the pork tenderloin
Let the pork tenderloin continue cooking on low heat (whole pork tenderloin about 12-15 minutes, pork tenderloin points may be shorter, about 7-8)
Pork tenderloin may still be pink on the inside before you eat it
For convenience, I like to use the slow cooker myself. Especially if I just bought the pork tenderloin from the supermarket, because then we find this oriental pork tenderloin a lot more tender from the slow cooker than from the pan.
