The most classic frog legs recipe is to pan-fry them with garlic and parsley:an express recipe that is easy to prepare! To do this, salt and pepper the frog legs (count about ten per person) then roll them in flour. Then brown them in hot oil or a little butter for 5 minutes. Then add a few cloves of garlic and chopped fresh parsley. Sauté for 2 to 3 minutes and serve hot.
Frog legs also go very well with typical Asian flavors such as ginger, lemongrass, soy sauce… First marinate the frog legs in a mixture of soy sauce, chilli, minced garlic, grated fresh ginger and lemongrass. Let them rest for about 1 hour in the fridge. Then cook the frog legs in a pan or wok for 3 to 4 minutes, until the sauce thickens. Serve hot with Thai rice for example.
This recipe for breaded frog legs is ideal as an aperitif, for example. It is also very easy to make. Start by mixing dried garlic and parsley with a little breadcrumbs. Salt and pepper the frog legs then pass them successively in a bowl filled with flour, then in another filled with a beaten egg and finally in the breadcrumbs, garlic and parsley mixture. Once all the frog legs are breaded, cook them in a pan in a mixture of butter and oil for about 10 minutes, turning them regularly. Serve immediately.
