Fresh lemons don't keep forever.
After a while they wither and rot.
Even when stored in the fridge.
Luckily, there's a secret trick to keeping them fresh and juicy for longer.
The trick is to put the lemons in a glass jar, cover them with water and put them in the fridge:
1. Take a resealable glass jar.
2. Place the uncut lemons in it.
3. Fill the jar with fresh tap water.
4. Close the jar and place it in the fridge.
There you go, you will be able to keep your lemons fresh and juicy for whole weeks :-)
Now you know how to store whole lemons as long as possible. And it also works for storing limes.
No more stale lemons that go moldy in the fridge and turn black!
It turns out that the skin of the lemon closes on contact with water.
As a result, this prevents the skin of the lemon from drying out. Who would have thought?
Preserving lemons no longer holds any secrets for you!
If you don't have a glass jar, you can find one here.
