Recipe for pizza with red lentils from the barbecue

Plant-based food is tasty and easy. Pizza from the barbecue:best of two worlds.

Ingredients

  • Fresh pizza dough

For the sauce

  • 50 grams of red lentils
  • 1 pack of passata
  • 1 can of tomato paste
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • salt and pepper

Additional toppings

  • 1 small zucchini, sliced
  • 1 handful of arugula

For the cocktail sauce

  • 4 tbsp vegetable variation on yogurt (from soy, for example)
  • 2 tbsp vegetable mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp ketchup
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper

How to prepare pizza from the barbecue

1. Start the sauce by sautéing garlic in a pan in a little olive oil. Add the passata and tomato paste and stir in the red lentils. Let it simmer for 20 minutes. Don't forget to stir.
2. Then add the oregano, salt and pepper and turn off the heat.
3. Roll out the pizza dough, cut it into pieces or circles as big as you want.
4. Cut out aluminum foil in the shape of your mini pizzas (make them 2 cm larger), grease them with some oil and place the pizza dough on top. Spoon some of the red sauce on the dough and top with some zucchini slices.
5. Place the pizzas on the barbecue for 15 minutes and close the lid.
6. Meanwhile, make the cocktail sauce by mixing all ingredients in a bowl.
7. Serve the pizzas with some arugula and the vegetable cocktail sauce.
