Swiss chocolate brand Toblerone has changed the shape of its famous chocolate bar for the UK market. The triangles, previously close together, are now separated by half a centimeter (whaaat?!), which necessarily reduces the amount of chocolate per bar. It was enough to provoke the anger of British Internet users!
Fewer triangles, therefore less chocolate (logical!), lighter and the same price:the new Toblerone bar did not at all, but then not at all, seduce the United Kingdom. And they do not laugh with the food our English neighbors! The Mondelēz group tried to justify themselves by explaining that they had two choices:following the increase in the cost of certain ingredients, they could either increase the price or change the shape of the bar. But nothing helps, the pill does not pass. So much so that the information has become the most discussed subject on Twitter and even on the BBC News site, ahead of the American elections (oh yes anyway!). And as you can imagine, the taunts are going well. Anthology.
