The month of April marks each year the return of a holiday particularly appreciated by children and the most greedy adults, Easter Monday. If chocolate lovers are already rubbing their hands, the period can be quite frustrating for others who are not really fans of the cocoa product, or who are more fond of the salty. But good news! Annem Hobson, a cooking enthusiast living in London and head of the blog So Wrong It's Nom, wanted to dust off tradition by creating a new kind of egg:the Chester Egg made from… cheese! Ah, it becomes very interesting right away…
The product was born out of its collaboration with Wildes Cheese, an artisan cheese company, and the recipe is based on the brand's 'Napier' variety, which was awarded 'London's Favorite Cheese' in 2015. Yum ! "Cheese is my favorite, and I'm so glad the Chester Egg was born [...] There are a lot of cheese lovers in my audience who support my project, I want to make them proud" , explains the young woman to the site Metro . The egg consists of 260 grams of hard cheese, and costs just over €17. Unfortunately, the delivery is not made in France (we suspected it a little), but it is always possible to order it on the Wildes Cheese site in anticipation of a trip to London, where it can be picked up at the one of the many markets in the British capital.
We love the idea! We are waiting for it to arrive in France, because after all, it is ours, the country which has more than 360 varieties of cheese...
