It has not escaped anyone, the unicorn is the big trend of recent years. Available as a Thai coffee theme or even in cosmetics, the fantastic creature inspires above all the world of pastry. The first unicorn cakes indeed appeared in 2016 (already!):the different floors formed the face of the animal and the top of the creation supported its cute ears and of course its horn. This year, the dessert is undergoing a remarkable update and the result is even more crunchy than what we knew until then (we didn't think it was possible either). The "Fat Unicorn Cake" as it is called is gradually flooding social networks and given its potential "cuteness", it's a safe bet that its popularity will only increase in the coming weeks.
What makes it different from its predecessor? Simply the fact that the cake itself does not represent a unicorn head but integrates the animal into a funny scene. Indeed, the whole unicorn – and also edible naturally – is placed near or on the opened cake, visibly in bad shape after its bout of gluttony. Some designs show her drowsy while another (our favorite, above!) depicts her squarely sitting in the multicolored dessert that stained her belly, face and mane. In a word:A-DO-RA-BLE! If you're a pastry ace, we can't advise you enough to try this original design to surprise your guests (young and old) for sure, before it becomes too well known...
