Preparation time:20 minutes.
For 4 people, you will need:
- 360 g of pasta shells
- 4 nice slices of white ham
- 1 chicken stock cube
- 1 clove of garlic
- 1 onion
- 2 tablespoons fresh cream
- 50 g grated parmesan (comté, emmental or gruyère)
- A few sprigs of chives
- Olive oil
- Salt and pepper
Preparation steps:
- In a saucepan, boil 1.5 liters of water and add the chicken stock cube.
- Meanwhile, peel the garlic and onion before slicing them. Add them to another pan, with a little olive oil, sweat them gently for 3 minutes. Then add the shells and leave to cook without browning for 2 to 3 minutes.
- Pour a ladle of the broth, prepared beforehand, to wet the pasta shells and stir until absorbed. Stir and repeat the operation for 12 minutes so that the shells are well cooked.
- Slice the ham into thin strips and chop the chives.
- Once the shells are cooked, add the cream and mix well. Remove from the heat, pour in the grated Parmesan, the ham, season if necessary then mix gently.
- On the plates, arrange the risotto with the shells and sprinkle with the chives.
Chef's advice:do not hesitate to incorporate vegetables such as asparagus and peas to get your children used to good seasonal products.
