Drinking champagne from a high heel? You can do that in London at the 34 Mayfair restaurant where British designer Rupert Sanderson designed “The Rupert Sanderson Champagne Slipper,” a glass of champagne shaped in the shape of a high heel.
The custom-made slipper features a champagne flute in the shape of a stiletto heel with crystal and a silver-plated brass shoe. The pink color of the crystal is derived from the Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque rosé Champagne that is poured into the glass.
Sanderson also designed a champagne-colored satin pump, featuring his signature classic round-toe silhouette as part of the project. The shoe costs £495, and a limited number of champagne flute sets will be available in the restaurant.
