A new study has found that there is no link between how hungry we feel and the amount of calories we consume. The research shows that foods labeled as having appetite-modifying properties don't change our calorie intake. Researchers analyzed 462 scientific studies and found that appetite ratings do not correspond to energy intake – the number of calories consumed – in most studies.
“For example, you can eat a meal that claims to satisfy your hunger and make you feel full for a long period of time, yet you can continue to eat a large amount of calories later.”
