Cooking:45 minutes (th. 5-6 – 210°C)
3 egg yolks
200g caster sugar
75g melted butter
1 packet of vanilla sugar
1 pinch of cinnamon
1 packet of baking powder
375g flour
1 pinch of salt
3 beautiful apples
2 tablespoons apricot jelly
2 glasses of milk
icing sugar.
Separate the egg whites from the yolks. Work the
yolks with the sugar until the mixture whitens.
Add butter, spices, baking powder and sifted flour.
Wet with milk to obtain a soft dough.
Pour it into a buttered and floured mold. Cut the apples into quarters, keeping them whole, divide them into slices
without going all the way, the slices must
maintained at their base. Arrange them on the dough at intervals
regular. Bake in medium oven for 40 minutes.
Then briskly coat the apple quarters with redcurrant jelly
or apricot jelly. return to oven
for 5 minutes. Leave to cool and sprinkle with icing sugar.
