Here is a colorful and sunny recipe that does not lack spice!
A dish that will put the sun on your plates and delight your taste buds.
Inexpensive and easy to work with ingredients will allow you to make these delicious merguez stuffed peppers.
A dish that will be on your tables all summer long.
- 10 merguez sausages:around 550 g at €9.56 per kilo, i.e. €5.26
- 4 peppers (regardless of color):around 600 g at €2.99 per kilo, i.e. €1.79
- 2 tomatoes:around 240 g at €1.49 per kilo, i.e. €0.36
- 1 onion:around 125 g at €1.85 per kilo, i.e. €0.23
Or 4 peppers stuffed with merguez, costing me €1.91 per person or at €7.64 for 4 people.
1. I preheat my oven to 200° (thermostat 6).
2. Over a salad bowl, I remove the skin from my merguez sausages and mash the flesh with a fork.
3. I wash my tomatoes then cut them into small cubes.
4. I peel my onion and thinly slice it.
5. I mix all my ingredients well in the salad bowl.
6. I wash my peppers then, using a knife, I cut my peppers at the level of the caps and I empty them (I remove the seeds and the white in the heart of the pepper which give a bitter taste).
7. I fill the inside of my peppers with my preparation.
8. I put my hats back on top of my peppers, arrange my vegetables in a dish and bake for 35 min.
Did you just stuff peppers? Did you know that you can stuff zucchini, eggplant or even tomatoes with this same preparation?
Serve your stuffed vegetables with rice, you will get a hearty and tasty dish!
