Gourmands and gourmands, you love jams!
The problem is that they are often very (too) sweet!
And that is not good for your figure or your health. Should we therefore deprive ourselves of jam to have a healthy and balanced diet?
Luckily, we have a homemade low-fat jam recipe that will work with your balance.
By replacing part of the sugar with agar-agar, you will obtain a much lighter and tastier jam recipe.
1. Allow 300 to 500 gr of sugar for 1 kg of fruit.
2. Cook them on a low boil for 30 minutes.
3. Add 2 g of agar-agar, diluted in a little water 3 minutes before the end of cooking.
4. Mix and cook for 3 minutes.
5. Pour your jam into clean jars.
6. Turn them over until cool.
There you have it, you have prepared a delicious recipe for homemade low-fat jam.
This recipe keeps your jam cool for several weeks. If you want to keep it for more than a year, sterilize your hermetically sealed jars by immersing them in boiling water for 10 minutes.
Agar-agar is a vegetable gelling agent that can replace sugar and masks the taste of food less.
