How can I resist my homemade beef bourguignon? Impossible !

The secret of a good beef bourguignon? Its cooking time! The longer it simmers, the better it will be…
- 1 kg braising beef
- 100 g of bacon
- 2 onions
- 1 clove of garlic
- 500 g of mushrooms
- 3 carrots
- 2 tablespoons of flour
- ½ bottle of Burgundy red wine
- 3 tablespoons of oil
- 1 bouquet garni
- Salt and pepper
1. Cut the meat into large cubes.
2. In a Dutch oven or casserole, heat the oil.
3. Then, brown the pieces of meat on each side.
4. Add the bacon bits, minced onion, garlic and sliced carrots.
5. Then sprinkle the meat with flour and mix well.
6. Wet with the wine gradually, its level should not exceed the pieces of meat.
7. Add a bouquet garni, salt and pepper.
8. Cover and simmer over low heat for 1 hour 45 minutes, turning occasionally.
9. Add the mushrooms and cook for another 15 minutes, still on low heat.
There you go, you have prepared a delicious beef bourguignon, simple and inexpensive :-)
I make sure the meat is cooked enough by pricking the inside with a sharp knife. Warmed up? It will only be better. You can prepare it the day before with complete peace of mind…
