For a smooth start to the days, mix some kale with other vegetables, some fruit and juice. Like this kale-pear smoothie. That healthy glass is ready!
For 4 people, b preparation time 15 minutes
Ingredients
- 4 small, ripe pears
- 100 g kale
- ½ avocado
- 1 banana
- juice and grated zest of ½ lime
- 2 tbsp agave syrup
- 100 ml freshly squeezed orange juice
- Additionally needed:blender, food processor or stick blender with high mixing cup

Preparation
- Wash the pears, cut them into quarters and remove the cores. Cut the pear wedges into pieces. Wash the kale and roughly chop. Scoop the avocado out of the skin. Peel the banana and break into pieces.
- Put all fruits and vegetables in the blender. Add the lime juice and zest with a pinch of salt. Pour in the agave syrup, the orange juice and 250 ml of cold water. Puree everything as smooth as possible, dilute with some extra water if necessary.
- Pour the smoothie into 4 glasses and serve immediately.
Hint: do you use fresh kale? Then cut away the stem and thick veins first. Pureeing only the tender leaf will make your drink smoother.
