7 healthy additions for your juice

For the July issue of Santé, the editors tested blenders and juicers. Make your juice even healthier with one of these seven additions.

Avocado
Avocados are healthy and nutritious. Not only do you make delicious guacamole from it, it also tastes good in a smoothie.

Chia seed Chia seed is a superfood and therefore a great addition to your smoothie. Read more about chia seed .

Cocoa powder
An unexpected addition. Then choose raw cocoa powder and not pieces of chocolate that you throw in the blender. Full of antioxidants and deliciously sweet.

Coconut water
Especially when you use a blender, juices can sometimes be thicker than you expected. You can dilute them with water, but another solution is to add some coconut water.

Spinach
Spinach can be combined well in a fruit smoothie. As our freelancer Annemiek says in Santé:even the children beg for more.

Beets
Beet juice is very healthy, but it does have a present taste. You've got to love it. When you use a little juice in your smoothie, the taste is less pronounced.

Herbs
To spice up your smoothie, you can also add herbs:ginger, basil or mint.
