Mulled wine is a traditional drink enjoyed in fall and winter.
It is everywhere on the Christmas markets, for example, especially in Alsace.
Mulled wine is delicious in its spiced version.
And, in addition, the recipe to prepare it is very simple. Watch:

- 1 liter of red wine (preferably Bordeaux)
- 150g caster sugar
- 2 teaspoons of powdered ginger
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 2 vanilla pods
- a few cinnamon sticks
- 1 nutmeg
- optional:a few slices of orange or lemon
1. In a saucepan, bring the wine to a boil.
2. Off the heat, add the powdered sugar and mix.
3. Add cinnamon and ginger powder.
4. Grate the nutmeg over your preparation.
5. Return to the heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
6. Then add the cinnamon sticks and vanilla pods.
7. Put a lid on and leave to infuse for 20 min.
8. Serve the mulled wine in cups decorated with a cinnamon stick and if you wish a slice of lemon or orange.
