With my honey-glazed turkey leg recipe, I reveal the delicate flavor of turkey with the sweetness of honey.

Preparaton:10 min - Cooking: 1h45 - For 4 people
- Turkey legs (about 1 kg)
- 100 g of honey
- 5 teaspoons of soy sauce
- 3 teaspoons of mustard
- 1 chicken stock cube
- 1 organic lemon
- 2 cloves of garlic
- Pepper
1. In a bowl, mix the honey, soy and mustard.
2. Place the turkey leg in a baking dish.
3. Carefully brush it with the honey, soy and mustard mixture. You won't be using all of the marinade.
4. Boil ¼ liter of boiling water.
5. Put the chicken stock cube in to dissolve it.
6. Add the chicken broth to the rest of the marinade.
7. Pour everything on the bottom of the dish.
8. Add the peeled garlic cloves.
9. Cut thin slices of lemon and put them in the dish.
10. Pepper.
11. Put the dish in the oven and cook for 1h45 at 180°C.
There you go, your roasted and lacquered turkey leg is ready :-)
Easy to do, isn't it?
And it's one of the most economical dishes I know for special occasions. Not to mention that we enjoy each time.
I serve it as a main dish with sautéed potatoes. It's a hot, family-friendly dish that's easy to make and really inexpensive.
- So that my meat retains all its softness, I baste it with its juice regularly. However, I favor the beginning of cooking, because the surface of its flesh is not yet caramelized and will better absorb the juice.
- Did you know that the oven should not be preheated to cook white meats? They thus retain all their softness.
The little extra is that this recipe gives me time to enjoy my guests.
- You can even make it in the evening as a single dish, because it does not require much preparation. Plus, white meat is healthy for the whole family! And it's a treat for young and old.
As a cutlet, in a stir-fry or even in a fillet, turkey is one of the easiest and most economical forms of poultry to cook on a daily basis.
