Tahini is a sweet sesame paste. Delicious on a cracker or corn wafer, but it also pairs well with some savory dishes. With this recipe you can make your own tahini.
Preheat the oven to 175 ˚C and spread the sesame seeds on baking paper. Roast them until they are golden brown and starting to smell. Shake the seeds regularly in between. Then let them cool down and put them in a food processor or blender. Add a splash of olive oil and blend the mixture until smooth. Add extra oil if necessary until you have the desired thickness and season the tahini with lemon juice and a little sea salt.
You can store your homemade tahini in the refrigerator for about a month.
