Print Recipe Easter bunny chocolate cupcakes Preparation 20 min Baking/cooking time 10 min Time 30 min Dish:Dessert Servings:15 Author:anja Ingredients Ingredients chocolate cupcake
  • 5 Egg yolk
  • 250 grams icing sugar (50 g less makes the cake slightly less sweet)
  • 1 packet Vanilla sugar
  • 125 ml Lukewarm water
  • 250 ml Oil
  • 375 grams Flour
  • 1 packet Baking powder
  • 5 Protein
  • Cocoa powder (to taste)
For the buttercream
  • 125 grams of Butter (without salt)
  • 225 grams Powdered sugar
  • Cocoa powder (to your taste and color)
  • Milk (about 1 tablespoon)
Preparation
  1. Beat egg yolk and icing sugar until creamy.

  2. Add vanilla sugar, water and cocoa powder and mix some more

  3. Slowly pour in the oil while constantly mixing

  4. Mix the flour with the baking powder and stir into the dough

  5. Beat egg whites until stiff and fold carefully into the dough

Preparation of the chocolate buttercream
  1. Let the butter come to room temperature and put it in a large and high bowl

  2. Start mixing the butter on high.

  3. Add about 1 tablespoon of milk to this and keep mixing

  4. Now the powdered sugar can be added. Don't do this all at once (believe me, I learned it the hard way), but little by little, while you keep mixing.

  5. Once all the icing sugar has been mixed well with the butter, add the cocoa little by little

  6. Keep stirring until it is a smooth and creamy mass. If it becomes too hard, add a little more milk, if the cream is too runny, add some powdered sugar

  7. Keep about half aside (this is needed for the ears)
