Enjoy:chia pudding with kiwi and matcha

Goodbye roast, hello vegetables! You don't have to use an ounce of meat or fish for a great Christmas menu. The green Christmas menu in the December issue of Santé proves this. We have another dessert for you:chia pudding with matcha and kiwi.

dessert or breakfast dish , for 4 people
15 minutes preparation time + 8 hours waiting time

Ingredients

  • 6 kiwis
  • 1 liter almond milk (with vanilla flavor or unsweetened)
  • 2 tablespoons light agave syrup
  • 2 teaspoons matcha powder (Japanese green tea)
  • 100 grams of chia seeds
  • need extra: blender

Preparation

  1. Peel 4 kiwis and cut them into pieces. Puree the kiwi with the almond milk, syrup and tea powder in a blender until smooth. Pour the mixture into a bowl and stir in the chia seeds.
  2. Cover the bowl and put it in the fridge overnight. During soaking, the seeds absorb all the moisture and a jelly-like structure is created.
  3. Pour the chia pudding into 4 nice coupes or glasses. Peel the remaining 2 kiwis, cut them into slices and garnish the dessert.
