Looking for a savory pie to accompany your charcuterie or salad?
There is an original savory pie, easy to prepare and inexpensive:the carrot pie.
A delight (and in addition it gives a nice complexion, carrots):
- 1 shortcrust pastry (you can make it yourself)
- 8 carrots
- 1 egg
- 15 cl of milk
- 1 clove of garlic
- 1 tbsp of olive oil
- 1 glass of water
- 1 tbsp fresh cream
- salt, pepper, parsley
1. Preheat your oven to 200° (th.7).
2. Wash, peel and cut your carrots into fairly thin slices.
3. Peel and chop the garlic (remember to remove the germ).
4. Fry the garlic with the olive oil in a pan, then add the carrots.
5. Cook over low heat for 30 minutes, with the glass of water.
6. Salt, pepper, add chopped parsley.
7. In a container, mix the cream, milk and egg.
8. Salt and pepper this mixture.
9. Put your shortcrust pastry in a pie pan. Poke her.
10. Pour over your carrots, then your egg-milk-cream mixture.
11. Bake for about 30 min.
For a complete meal, add some bacon or ham to your pie, accompany it with a salad with garlic croutons.
