Recipe for Gin Mare gingerbread holiday punch

A festive drink can complete a drink or dinner. You can make this delicious gingerbread drink with Gin Mare.

Ingredients for 10 glasses

  • 600 ml Gin Mare
  • 150 ml gingerbread liqueur
  • 300 ml gingerbread tea
  • 500 ml apple cider
  • fresh thyme
  • star anise
  • orange wedges

Preparation
Make sure the Gin Mare and the speculaas liqueur are at room temperature. Pour both drinks into a large punch bowl, and add some sprigs of thyme, the orange segments and
a handful of star anise. Stir well.

Let the mix stand for half an hour while you make the speculaas tea. You can use ready-made gingerbread tea for this, or make your own spice mixture with cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, ginger and cardamom. Add the herbs (or tea bags) to a pan of boiling water and let the mixture steep for half an hour over medium heat. Strain out the herbs and add the remaining liquid to the ingredients in your punch bowl. Finally, add the apple cider.

Hint: For an extra festive touch, garnish each glass with a sprig of fresh thyme and a dried orange wedge.
