Fancy a good burger? Portobello's lend themselves very well to a vegetable burger.
You can make the burgers on the barbecue or in the oven/grill. Top the hamburger buns with tomato, sprouts, lettuce, guacamole and a grilled portobello.
1. Mix all the ingredients for the marinade and brush the portobello mushrooms with it. Set aside.
2. Cut and peel the avocado, mash and mix with the remaining ingredients for the guacamole.
3. Place the portobello mushrooms on the barbecue and grill them for 5-8 minutes on both sides. Cut the buns in half and place them on the barbecue during the last two minutes so that they become crispy.
4. Build the burger the way you like it. We went for (from bottom to top):a little mayonnaise, curled lettuce, some tomato slices, the grilled portobello, guacamole and purple sprouts.
