But in summer, whether it's because it's too hot or because you're thinking about your figure (what do you mean, this delicious 4-cheese pizza isn't recommended when you want to lose weight?), you don't don't always want it. As often, Internet users have the solution:watermelon pizza (also called waterzza, for watermelon (=watermelon in English) pizza). A delicious and yet very light snack.
The principle of this pizza? Use watermelon as a base, to replace pizza dough (lighter, you die!). We cut a slice of watermelon 3-4 centimeters thick, on which we lay out the filling. Thus, you can start with a base, which you choose more or less thick (honey, yogurt, jam, fruit coulis, Nutella, etc.) or add the topping directly:fruit (berries or fruit cut into small pieces), nuggets of chocolate, walnuts, pecans, flaked almonds, cranberries or raisins… The possibilities are endless! You can even add a scoop of vanilla ice cream for a more gourmet pizza. Then cut into pieces and eat. And if we are rather salty? In this case, we use watermelon as a base but we cover it with salty ingredients:feta, mozzarella, basil, red onion, olives... and we sprinkle with a drizzle of olive oil and/or balsamic vinegar.
