Preheat the oven to. 6 (160°C).
In a bowl put the flour, sugar, yeast, eggs, oil and rum. Add the peeled, seeded and cut into brunoise apples (small pieces).
Oil a 24 cm springform pan, pour the mixture into the mould.
Put in the oven and cook for about 40 to 50 minutes.
To check for doneness, insert the blade of a knife into the cake; if it comes out clean, it's done.
Unmold on a wire rack before putting it on a serving platter.
To be consumed cold or lukewarm.
